1. Who this policy applies to
This Privacy Policy applies to the BPS POS mobile app, website, and related business services. BPS POS is designed for shops and businesses to manage sales, inventory, customers, suppliers, expenses, and reports.
2. Information we collect
- Account information such as name, email address, phone number, business name, username, and encrypted password data.
- Business and operational data such as products, stock, categories, customers, suppliers, invoices, quotations, expenses, payments, and reports created inside the app.
- Device and technical information such as device identifiers, app diagnostics, crash details, and Firebase Cloud Messaging token for notifications and licensing.
3. Device permissions we may use
- Camera: to scan barcodes, QR codes, or capture product and document images when you choose to use those features.
- Photos or media: to let you upload product, logo, or other business-related images from your device.
- Bluetooth: to connect supported thermal printers for receipts and invoice printing.
- Location: Android may require location access for nearby Bluetooth printer discovery. We do not sell or publicly share your precise location.
- Contacts: only if you choose to import a contact while creating a customer record.
- Notifications: to send sync, license, and business alerts when enabled.
4. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and subscription.
- To provide billing, inventory, reporting, customer management, purchase, and business operations features.
- To sync offline data securely between your device and our servers.
- To improve app stability, investigate errors, and provide customer support.
5. Offline storage and syncing
BPS POS uses an offline-first design. Business data may be stored locally on your device in an encrypted or protected local database and then synced to our servers when internet access becomes available.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your business or personal data. We may share limited data only with service providers that help us deliver the app, such as notification or hosting services, or when required by law, court order, fraud prevention, or security needs.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data from inside the app or through our Account Deletion page.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS transmission, access controls, and system protections. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

This Privacy Policy describes how BPS Solution (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in the BPS POS mobile application (the “App”). The App is a Point of Sale and business management tool for shop owners and their staff. By installing or using the App, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who controls your data BPS POS is a business-to-business tool. The shop owner / business that subscribes to BPS POS is the owner and controller of the business data entered into the App (products, customers, sales, purchases, finances). BPS Solution acts as a service provider that stores and syncs this data on the business’s behalf.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account & business information Login credentials (email/username, securely stored password hash on the server). Business profile: business name, branch, address, logo, contact details, currency, and tax settings. Staff/user accounts and their roles.
2.2 Business records you create Products, stock, categories, brands, units, warehouses. Customer and supplier records, including name, phone number, email, and address. Sales, purchases, quotations, returns, expenses, incomes, due/credit, and payment records. Bank, cash, and cheque transaction records.
2.3 Device & technical information A device identifier used to register the device for push notifications and licensing. Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) registration token to deliver notifications. Basic diagnostic and sync logs (e.g. sync success/failure) to keep your data consistent.
2.4 Permission-based data The App only accesses the following after you grant permission, and only for the stated purpose:

Images are stored with your business data only if you choose to attach them; barcode scans are not transmitted. Photos / Media (Image Picker) Let you attach an existing image (e.g. product photo, business logo) from your device. Only the image you explicitly pick is uploaded with your business data. Contacts Optionally import a customer’s name and phone number from your phone contacts when adding a customer. Only the single contact you select is saved as a customer record. We do not upload your full contact list. Bluetooth Connect to thermal receipt printers to print invoices and receipts. No. Used only for local printer communication. Location Required by Android to enable Bluetooth scanning of nearby printers on some Android versions. No. We do not collect, store, or share your geographic location. Notifications Show sync, license, and business alerts via push notifications. The FCM token is stored on our server to deliver notifications.
3. How we use the information To provide core POS features: recording sales, purchases, inventory, and finances. To sync your data between your devices and our secure server (offline-first design). To generate invoices, receipts, quotations, and PDF/Excel reports. To send operational notifications and verify your license/subscription. To provide customer support and to maintain, secure, and improve the App. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Offline storage & syncing BPS POS is offline-first. Your data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted-at-rest SQLite database and queued for sync. When an internet connection is available, the data is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our server and stored there so it is available across your devices and backed up.
5. Third-party services We use the following third-party service, which may process limited data on our behalf:

6. Data sharing & disclosure We do not share your business or personal data with third parties except:
With service providers strictly necessary to operate the App (e.g. hosting, Firebase). When required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights. With your consent or at your direction.
7. Data retention We retain your business data for as long as your account/subscription is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9). Some records may be retained for a limited period where required by law or for legitimate business and security purposes.
8. Data security We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), local encrypted backups, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices You can access, correct, or delete business records directly inside the App. You can revoke Camera, Contacts, Bluetooth, Location, or Notification permissions in your device settings at any time. You can request a copy of your data or full account deletion by contacting us at the email below.

If you have created an account in BPS POS, you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.
How to request deletion
1. In the app: Go to Settings > Delete Account and submit your deletion request.
2. Outside the app: Visit https://bpspos.com/account-deletion and submit your request, or contact us at [your support email].
What happens when you request deletion - Your account will be permanently deleted. - Personal profile information associated with your account will be removed from our active systems. - Business records that are no longer required will be deleted or anonymized.
Data we may retain We may retain limited data where required for: - legal or tax compliance, - fraud prevention and security, - dispute resolution, - enforcement of our agreements.
If retention is required, the retained data will be kept only for the period necessary for those purposes.
Deletion timeline We aim to process verified deletion requests within [7/14/30] business days.
Important note Deleting your account may also remove access to purchase history, business configuration, reports, synced records, and other account-linked data that cannot be recovered after deletion.
